39: King's Road in Chelsea

Chelsea King's RoadThe bus continues along King's Road. All the usual high street names are found closest to the undergound station at Sloane Square but further down the road there is a good mix of retailers especially interior design shops selling furniture, fabrics and lighting. In the past, King' Road was seen as the place for a thriving alternative culture - hippies in the 60s and punks in the 70s. A branch of McDonalds is now where the famous Chelsea Drug Store once stood.
