At high tide the river Thames is just inches from the windows of this Victorian pub.

Close to the Old Royal Naval College, the tavern was once the Old George but renamed in celebration of the sea Battle of Trafalgar, fought against the French and Spanish navies and which allowed Britain to become the world's largest sea power for the next 100 years.
