A one minute walk from the Seven Dials sundial
London ultra-short walk (03)
On Shorts Gardens is the grand Victorian facade of Thomas Neal’s Warehouse, today home to the bustling Seven Dials Market.
Long before it was converted to the food hall we have today, this 19th-century depot was a major hub for the historic Covent Garden fruit market, used specifically for storing cucumbers and for ripening bananas.
If you step through the brick archway entrance, you will walk down "Cucumber Alley", named as a playful tribute to the building's original purpose.
