Extremely narrow and enclosed by towering brick walls, this tiny alleyway off Floral Street called Lazenby Court, dates back to 1688. It is tight enough that passing a stranger requires a polite sideways shuffle, and taller visitors may also need to duck.
The far end of the alley takes you directly alongside The Lamb and Flag pub, one of Covent Garden’s oldest and most interesting.
Notice the small wooden door here, built into the side of the building, which you can use to go straight into the wood-
