London ultra-short walk (11)

On St. Martin’s Lane, walking towards Trafalgar Square, the pub on the left, Mr Fogg’s Tavern, is entirely themed around Jules Verne’s classic novel Around the World in Eighty Days. It is designed to be the eccentric, cluttered Victorian home of the protagonist Phileas Fogg's late aunt. Upstairs there is a less noisy Gin Parlour which is accessible via a side door.

Notice the original painted Guinness advertisement above the main entrance.

On the opposite side of the road is The Salisbury pub, famous for it’s Art Nouveau interior. Here you can enjoy carefully preserved etched glass mirrors, polished mahogany, and bronze lamps cast in the shape of neoclassical nymphs.
