Mr Fogg’s Tavern
The Salisbury
A two minute walk from Leicester Square station
On St. Martin’s Lane, walking towards Trafalgar Square, the pub on the left, Mr Fogg’s Tavern, is entirely themed around Jules Verne’s classic novel Around the World in Eighty Days. It is designed to be the eccentric, cluttered Victorian home of the protagonist Phileas Fogg's late aunt. Upstairs there is a less noisy Gin Parlour which is accessible via a side door.
Notice the original painted Guinness advertisement above the main entrance.
On the opposite side of the road is The Salisbury pub, famous for its Art Nouveau interior. On show are the original etched glass mirrors, polished mahogany furnishings, and bronze lamps cast in the shape of neoclassical nymphs.
