The Bond Street station exit on Hanover Square is the closest one to New Bond Street. Adjacent to the station building there is a passageway which leads to this discreet archway on New Bond Street (between numbers 67 and 68).


The short-cut passes through Medici Courtyard which is Mayfair’s first new public space in over 100 years. It was opened as part of a huge redevelopment during construction of the new Elizabeth line.


While it may look like a purely aesthetic choice for outdoor dining, Medici Courtyard is mainly an engineering solution. A courtyard open to the sky reduces the overall weight pressing down on sensitive infrastructure below the surface.
