The Church of Notre Dame de France is as much a gallery of French cultural history as it is a place of worship.

The Lady Chapel houses a rare set of three line-drawing murals painted by the famous French artist and filmmaker Jean Cocteau in 1959.

Other notable features include the altar mosaic by Russian artist Boris Anrep, and the large tapestry behind the main altar designed by the Benedictine monk Dom Robert.

The unique rotunda shape of the church is a result of the re-use of a circular brick shell from an earlier 1800s tourist attraction known as Burford's Panorama.
